Rebuilding of 10 schools in EQ areas

A total of £288,000/- at the start, this partnership will prolong over a period of 24 months, providing a basis for rebuilding 10 Primary schools from tented settings to prefabricated settings, classrooms furniture (class room aid) providing opportunities to train teachers and more than 2000 children will benefit.

The 8/10 earthquake badly damaged basic social services infrastructure including education. The impact on education was devastating: as 6,083 schools were destroyed.

This is to help traumatized children come back to school and receive the education and care they need on continuing basis, by providing quality education through properly trained teachers and well equipped classes.
